HaircutOnDemand March 2014 – February 2015
HaircutOnDemand is a web application for hairdressers to manage business and customer experience efficiently and at low costs. With HaircutOnDemand hair stylists ramp up, save costs and focus on their core competency while providing unique customer services with innovative technologies.
Goals
With the ambition to enhance & simplify the daily business workflow of a hairdresser, HaircutOnDemand provides an innovative and sophisticated technology platform that allows hair stylists to focus on their individual craft.
Technology
HaircutOnDemand exploits lean software approaches with emphasis on simplicity (e.g. Bootstrap, Ember.js, and jQuery).
Challenges
The main challenges of HaircutOnDemand were found in the details of the application – in particular, in the unique analytical management features that it provides.
Lessons Learned
Excellent project & technology management as well as sufficient development strategies were key of the project to particularly overcome diseconomies of scale and to provide a technological solution with aligned customer excellence.
Business Model
The web application is available on-demand. A monthly fee is charged based on the size of the hairdresser.
