mugram October 2013 - January 2014

mugram

Mugram is a web-based survey tool to evaluate the usability of mobile business applications. The tool facilitates the conduct and analysis of usability surveys. The predefined questionnaire ensures to evaluate all usability aspects in order to meet the requirements of the current mobile business technology.

Goal

Since usability is one of the success factors of mobile business applications, the goal of this project was to develop a tool which facilitates the development of mobile business applications in regard to its usability. Firstly, it should contain a standardized questionnaire to evaluate all aspects of mobile usability. Secondly, the tool should support the conduct and analysis of such surveys, because paper-based surveys are elaborate and expensive.

Technology

To ensure a high degree of platform independence mugram was implemented as a web application based on HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript for the frontend and PHP with MySQL for the backend. To create a comfortable user experience on the different supported device types the user interface of the application is based on the Bootstrap 3 framework developed by Twitter.
