With increasing possibilities, people want to control every aspect of their life. For example Home Energy Management and the idea of a Smart Home that adapts to a persons individual needs are current trends. With about 40 million smartphone and 25 million tablet users in Germany in 2014, mobile applications for Smart Home Devices are a promising market to invade. During this yearlong project we will focus on the development of such an application in cooperation with Sovanta AG.

Goal

This project focuses on developing a mobile application to support the use of technology in order to generate a smart home. This app will be composed of a variety of automated scenarios that will enable the end user to save energy and improve security while being convenient at the same time. After developing an application for android systems, the implementation for iOS devices will be targeted.
